Where Would You Live? As the first neighborhood protected by the 1965 Landmarks Preservation Law of New York City, Brooklyn Heights has retained its old world charm. Row houses and mansions can be found on residential tree-lined streets. The architecture ranges from Greek and Gothic Revival to Italianate brownstones.

 

Neighborhood Features: Dubbed, “America’s First Suburb”, Brooklyn Heights is a quiet residential neighborhood. Outdoor recreation venues such as the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Cadman Park; the Transit Museum; eateries such as Grimaldi’s and Noodle Pudding; Green Market at Borough Hall; shopping and conveniences such as dry cleaners, supermarkets, drugstores on Montague Street.
